What is HEARTSOUL?

HEARTSOUL is an event celebrating the American Heart Association’s “National Go Red for Women” day. It is focused on bringing attention to the risk of heart disease among women, especially women of color. Women are the community’s heart and soul, and we wanted to reflect that in the name by focusing on what is good for the heart and what’s good for the soul.

The theme of HEARTSOUL promotes awareness of the fight against heart disease among women. In conjunction with the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” movement, this event will bring together Memphis’ prominent women dressed to the nines in their best red for a common cause.

Is this event suitable for children?

You must be 21 or older to attend this event.

What is the dress code?

In keeping with the event theme, “Go RED for Women’s Health”, the dress code for HEARTSOUL is RED. And our dress code is “RED FLEXIBLE.” This means you should come in whatever makes you feel comfortably fierce! From business professional and reception casual to cocktail chic and downright debonair – if you have red, wear it! We would LOVE for all attendees to rock their red for women’s health! Additional dress code examples include simply fabulous, dressed to kill, festive chic, glitterati gear and razzle-dazzle ready.

What is the format of the event?

This affair will kick off at 5PM with a champagne social hour. The program and couch conversation will begin at 6PM–complete with music, dancing, food, and fun. Guests will also come together to celebrate this year’s Women of Impact and recognize several women who have made a difference in their communities and have fought against heart disease.

Where are event tickets available for purchase?

Go to www.HEARTSOULMEMPHIS.com to purchase tickets. Ticket sales will close at 2PM on Friday, February 3rd.

There will be no onsite sales. All tickets must be purchased online before the event.

How do I collect my ticket?

Once your ticket has been purchased, you will receive two emails—a confirmation of purchase and then an event e-ticket. Bring your e-ticket on your phone or tablet with you to the event.

What is the refund policy? What happens in the case of a canceled event?

There are no refunds, as this is a fundraiser, and all proceeds go to fighting heart disease. HEARTSOUL will be rescheduled in severe or dangerous weather.

Where do event proceeds go?

Event proceeds from HEARTSOUL will go directly to the American Heart Association. In 2004, the Go Red for Women campaign was launched to solve a problem – too few women knew about their number one killer: cardiovascular disease. Nearly 19 years later, Go Red for Women has evolved into a global movement and is a driving force behind health equity, accelerating science and advancing public health policy.
